Real Tips, Real Talk, and Everything Behind Stress-Free Travel

Let me tell you about that âtoo-good-to-be-true last-minute dealâ you saw online. (Oh yes, Iâve been there. Iâve also muttered the words âwhatâs the worst that could happen?â Spoiler: the worst definitely happens.)
It always starts at the airport. Your flight is delayed, and youâre calling the 1-800 number printed in size 2 font on your confirmation email. Ring, ring, ring. Forty minutes later, you know every note of their hold music and still⊠no human.
When you finally arrive, the hotel greets you with a âfree upgrade.â Sounds fancy, right? Except your balcony view is of⊠the dumpster. (Nothing says romance like watching yesterdayâs leftovers being wheeled out.)
Then thereâs the âall-inclusiveâ that forgot food exists between 2â6 p.m. Apparently, in this magical land, nobody gets hungry in the afternoon. (Hope you like potato chips from the gift shop for $14.99 a bag.)
And hereâs the kickerâyou didnât actually save money. You just prepaid for a stress headache with a palm tree screensaver in the background.
What Happens When I Plan Your Trip
Now, hereâs how it looks when Iâm in charge:
You tell me what kind of traveler you are. (Do you want lazy mornings with coffee by the pool? Or are you the âletâs climb that volcano at sunriseâ type? Either way, Iâve got you.)
Hereâs the thing: when I plan your trip, you donât just get flights and a hotel slapped together. You get me â your behind-the-scenes travel fixer.
Flights delayed? Iâm already stalking the airline app before youâve even found a charging outlet. (Yes, Iâm that person.)
Hotel mix-up? Iâm on the phone with the front desk smoothing things out while you sip your welcome cocktail.
Need a restaurant where the locals actually eat instead of the one with the laminated tourist menu? Iâve got the name, the reservation, and probably even the best dish to order.
Basically, you get to play the main character in your vacation story while I quietly handle the boring plot twists in the background.
The Right Trip Feels Different
The right trip is the one where you come home saying things like:
âThis was exactly what I needed.â
âI didnât have to lift a finger and it was perfect.â
âWhy didnât I do this sooner?â
Because when the logistics are handled, and every detail actually lines up with what you wantedâthatâs when a vacation turns into a memory you want to relive (instead of one you need to recover from).
My Confession
I donât just âbook travel.â I take the dumpster views, the snack-free afternoons, and the roulette wheel of âcheap dealsâ right off the table. I make sure you get the kind of trip that feels good while youâre on it and when you look back on it later.
So if youâre ready to ditch the gamble and upgrade to the good stuff:
Step 1: Come hang out with me in my in my private travel group. Private Travel Group
Step 2: Book a Consultation with me Because the only gamble you should be taking on vacation is whether to order one margarita or two.): Complimentary Consultation
âš Remember: good trips donât plan themselves. Thatâs why you have me. âDeena
I canât tell you how many times Iâve heard that one. (Usually right after someone finds out what I do, and you can literally see them imagining me sitting at my laptop, clicking âbook nowâ while sipping coffee in my pajamas or laying in a hammock.)
Yes⊠and no.
Booking is technically part of it. But honestly? Thatâs the tiniest slice of the pie. What people usually see is the polished final product: a shiny itinerary, a couple of confirmation emails, and maybe a pretty destination photo to get you excited.
What they donât see is me behind the scenes, piecing together the puzzle â making sure the connections make sense, the hotels actually match the photos, and that thereâs a Plan B (and C) ready in case life decides to be⊠life.
What People Think I Do:
Google some flights.
Pick a hotel.
Click âbook.â
Send an email: âHave a great trip!â
What I Actually Do:
I get to know you. Not just where you want to go, but how you want to feel on that trip. (Do you want to come home rested, adventurous, spoiled, or all three?)
I research beyond Google, digging into trusted suppliers, partners, and experience-backed insight you wonât find on page 1 of Expedia.
I cross-check flights, schedules, time zones, transfers, resort reviews, cancellation policies, and insurance â all the stuff youâd never notice until itâs too late.
I troubleshoot when flights shift, rooms disappear, or that â5-star dealâ is actually a 2-star nightmare with good lighting.
I build itineraries that balance just the right amount of structure and freedom (translation: youâll know where youâre going, but youâll also have time to wander into the gelato shop with the 30-minute line⊠trust me, itâs worth it).
And when things do go sideways? I advocate for you so you donât have to spend your vacation arguing with a customer service rep whoâs never heard of your hotel.
All of this, and you only have one point of contact: me. Not 12 different booking engines, not four hold lines, not a chatbot pretending it understands your problem. Just me. đ
Why It All Matters
Hereâs the truth: anyone can book a vacation. But not everyone can build one that actually feels like you. Your time is valuable. Your vacation should never feel like work.
When I plan your travel, you get:
A trip tailored to your pace, preferences, and priorities.
The peace of mind that comes from knowing someoneâs got your back.
The hidden gems, perks, and details that make the whole thing feel effortless.
Ready to Experience the Difference?
When I take care of the details, you get a trip that fits your pace, your preferences, and your priorities â plus the peace of mind that someoneâs got your back when life throws curveballs. Thatâs what makes it effortless.
My Confession
Yes, I âbook trips.â But mostly? I make sure your vacation doesnât suck.
Remember: good trips donât plan themselves. Thatâs why you have me. âDeena
Youâre not the only one. And you donât have to be.
If I had a dollar for every time someone said this to me, Iâd probably have enough for a first-class ticket somewhere fabulous.
The truth is, a lot of people want to travel â but they donât always have someone to go with. And that doesnât necessarily mean theyâre single. Maybe their partner canât take time off, their best friend is saving for a house, or their familyâs idea of âvacationâ is two weeks at the same cabin every summer.
So, what happens? The trip idea gets shelved. The dream gets pushed off until âsomeday.â And in the meantime, those travelers are left craving connection with people who actually get their love of travel.
Thatâs exactly why I started the Solo Travellerâs Club.
Itâs not just about going places. Itâs about connecting with other people who love travel â whether youâre trip-ready right now or just starting to dream.
Who This Club Is For
Itâs for you if:
You love the idea of travel, but donât always have a buddy.
You want to connect with other travel lovers, even if youâre not ready to book.
Youâre curious about solo travel â but like the thought of a community to lean on.
You want a no-drama, like-minded crew to talk travel with.
What This Club Is Not
Itâs not a high-pressure commitment. Show up when it works for you.
Itâs not just for seasoned solo travelers â beginners and dreamers are welcome.
Itâs not about being alone. Itâs about having options and connections.
And itâs definitely not a sales pitch. Just real people, real conversations, and future adventures waiting to happen.
What It Is
Itâs a supportive community.
Itâs a safe space to ask, plan, connect, and dream.
Itâs a chance to explore âsoloâ⊠but never feel alone.
Itâs a no-pressure way to finally say âyesâ â even if that starts with just chatting about travel over coffee.
Whether your passport is ready to go or youâre simply collecting âsomedayâ ideas, this is your crew.
My Confession
I didnât start this club because I travel alone â I actually never have!
I started it because I kept hearing the same thing over and over: âI want to travel, but I donât have anyone to go with.â
And sometimes, what people really want isnât even a trip yet. Itâs just a connection with other people who understand the pull of travel â who get excited dreaming about âsomedayâ right alongside them.
Remember: good trips donât plan themselves. Thatâs why you have me. âDeena

And thatâs amazing â until itâs not.
Itâs amazing until your âquick connectionâ turns into a full-on airport obstacle course, where youâre sprinting between terminals like youâre auditioning for The Amazing Race.
Itâs amazing until your âroom with a viewâ turns out to be overlooking dumpsters and the morning delivery truck. (Yes, Iâve been there. Once was enough.)
Itâs amazing until you realize the booking support ended the moment your credit card cleared. Suddenly, youâre on your own with a 1-800 number and 45 minutes of hold music.
The Illusion of âDealsâ
Those booking sites love to dangle shiny low prices in front of you. What they donât put on the front page?
The 10-hour layovers that eat your whole vacation.
The ânon-refundableâ fine print that traps you.
The âall-inclusiveâ that somehow doesnât include snacks, drinks, or common sense.
That so-called âdealâ usually comes with hidden costs: stress, wasted time, and money spent fixing what shouldâve been right the first time.
What Value Really Looks Like
Value isnât the cheapest trip. Value is the right trip. The one where the connections make sense, the hotel actually looks like the photos, and youâre supported every step of the way.
When you work with me, you get:
Smart planning (a.k.a. no âsurpriseâ 3 a.m. layovers).
Reliable options that fit your travel style.
Real support when life throws a curveball.
Honest advice that keeps you out of rookie-mistake territory.
Why It Matters
The most expensive trip isnât the one with the biggest price tag.
Itâs the one you didnât actually enjoy.
My focus? To make sure your trip feels like you â seamless, stress-free, and full of the kind of memories youâll want to relive.
My Confession
Iâve seen plenty of âcheapâ trips cost more in the end â in money, sanity, and missed experiences. Iâd rather build you a trip that actually delivers.

Which spot is yours?
So hereâs the scoop: in April 2026, Warren and I are heading to Ireland â and this time, weâre doing something different. Instead of piecing everything together ourselves (flights, trains, hotels, transfers⊠you know me đđ»ââïž), weâre joining a G Adventures Highlights of Ireland guided tour.
Yep â our very first guided tour. And youâre invited to come along.
The Best Part? Space is Limited.
This isnât some massive coach with 50 people youâll never talk to again. Itâs capped at just 16 travelers total.
Right now, 6 spots are already filled. Once we reach 8 travellers (just 2 more!), the trip is guaranteed to run as a private group with just us. That could be just the 8 of us (super intimate) but of course we want to grow it to the full 16. Either way, this is a small-group adventure that already has a mix of solo travelers and couples committed â which means itâs truly for everyone.
Why a Guided Tour This Time?
Normally, Iâm the one behind the curtain pulling all the strings â connecting flights, customizing day trips, juggling transfers. But this time, G Adventures is handling the day-to-day logistics, so I get to actually experience it with you.
That means:
Someone else is driving while we enjoy the views.
Expert guides share the stories, legends, and history behind every stop.
A group dynamic thatâs friendly, supportive, and fun.
Pre & Post: Build Your Own Adventure
Hereâs the part I really love: Ireland doesnât have to be the whole trip. It can be the centerpiece of something bigger. You are travelling a long way so why wouldn't you want to stay longer and experience more?
Want to arrive early?
Spend a few nights in London (Stonehenge day trip, anyone?).
Pop up to Scotland for castles, bagpipes, and maybe a Loch Ness sighting.
Want to extend your trip after Ireland?
Add on a few nights in Paris for croissants and Eiffel Tower views.
Train your way to Amsterdam and soak up canals and café culture.
Or take a slower route, with stops in Spain or Portugal before heading home.
Iâll help you plan all of it â flights, transfers, hotels, day tours â so your trip flows smoothly from start to finish. Whether you want a little add-on or a whole Euro-adventure, Iâve got your back.
đ Just Some of the Reasons to Join Us in Ireland 2026
đ» Built-in pub buddies â Warren and I are not shy about pulling you into a local pub for âjust one pintâ (which will obviously turn into two).
đ Group laughter guaranteed â if youâve ever traveled with us, you know there will be stories, jokes, and at least one moment weâll still be laughing about years later.
đ§ Professional wanderers (Exploring With Dora) â One of our friends nicknamed Warren âDora the Explorerâ because he cannot resist a side path, a hidden alley, or a âshortcutâ (spoiler: itâs usually not). But those detours? Theyâve led us to some of our favorite travel memories â and if you join us, youâll get those stories too.
đ„ We celebrate everything â birthdays, anniversaries, Tuesday⊠whatever. Weâll find a reason to toast.
đ¶ Possible karaoke (but Irish pub edition) â we canât promise vocal talent, but we can promise enthusiasm if thereâs live music.
đž Memory makers â I love snapping silly photos, group selfies, and capturing little moments. (Translation: youâll go home with way more than just scenery pics.)
đ„Ÿ Balance of adventure + chill â whether youâre up for hikes, history, or just sipping coffee with a view, youâll have the space to do your thing â but with us cheering you on.
đ€ No one gets left out â solo traveller, couple, or âjust me and my curiosity,â youâll be part of the crew from day one.
My Confession
I could have kept this as âjust another tripâ for myself and Warren. But travel is always better when itâs shared. Thatâs why I wanted to open this up to you â not only to experience Ireland together, but to give you the chance to make this the trip of a lifetime.
So whether Ireland is your dream destination or the heart of a bigger adventure, letâs make it happen! What spot are you going to take up?

I know I have a strong personality. Iâve been told more than once that Iâm âa lot.â And you know what? Theyâre right.
Hereâs the thingâbeing âa lotâ has gotten me jobs, and itâs also cost me jobs. Itâs opened some doors and slammed a few others shut. And Iâm perfectly fine with that, because itâs exactly what makes me, well⊠me.
Who I Am
đ« Honest. Iâll tell you straight up if those jeans donât fit rightâand Iâll also tell you if the âboutiqueâ hotel you found online is basically just a fancy name for a motel with free Wi-Fi.
đ« Truthful. Iâll give you the real answer, even when itâs not the easy one. If you ask me if I like your new boyfriend, youâd better want the real answer.
What that means for you: Youâll never end up wasting money on something that looked good online but doesnât deliver in real life.
đ« Protective. I care deeply about the people in my lifeâand if youâre my client, that means Iâll stand up for you and tell you the honest truth, always.
What that means for you: Youâll have someone in your corner who advocates for you, protects your best interests, and makes sure you get the trip you deserve.
đ« Social. I love people, I talk a lot, and I genuinely enjoy connecting with my clients.
What that means for you: Planning your trip will feel more like chatting with a trusted friend than dealing with a faceless booking engine.
Who Iâm Not
â The fake cheerleader. Iâll be your biggest fan when it mattersâbut Iâll also be realistic when itâs needed.
What that means for you: I wonât push you toward a destination or resort that doesnât actually fit your style, just because itâs âpopular.â
â A filterer. I donât filter my photosâor my opinions.
What that means for you: What you see is what you get. If itâs not good value, Iâll say so.
â Everyoneâs favorite. I know Iâm not for everyone (and I own that).
What that means for you: If you want a straight shooter with a big heart, youâll feel right at home working with me.
Why That Works for You
â You always know exactly where you stand.
â You donât waste time second-guessing if my advice is genuine.
â Youâve got someone in your corner who will go to bat for you.
â Youâll feel cared for, supported, and understood.
My Confession
Iâve never tried to be for everyoneâand honestly, I donât want to be. But if youâre looking for a travel advisor who is bold, honest, caring, social, and fully invested in your trip? Then I might just be the right one for you.

Planning a full year of travel in one shot might sound like the fast track to overwhelm. But hereâs the thingâitâs actually the opposite. When you zoom out and look at the year as a whole, you can spot the best windows for adventure, relaxation, and everything in between⊠without double-booking yourself into chaos.
Letâs break it down:
Start with the Anchors
School breaks, big work projects, weddings, anniversaries, family reunionsâwhateverâs non-negotiable in your world. These dates set the framework so youâre not planning Italy during exam week or a ski trip during your cousinâs wedding.
Layer in the Seasons
Every destination has a âbest time.â Skiing? Think JanuaryâMarch. Japanâs cherry blossoms? Late MarchâApril. Italy without the shoulder-to-shoulder crowds? May or September. Match your dream spots with their sweet spots.
Priorities First
Is 2026 the year of that once-in-a-lifetime bucket-list trip? Or do you want a handful of shorter escapes sprinkled throughout? Build your calendar around what matters mostâwhether thatâs family time, foodie adventures, or lazy pool days.
Keep It Balanced
Variety is the secret sauce:
A tropical beach escape in winter
A cultural city break in spring
An active adventure in summer
A cozy wellness retreat in fall
It keeps your year feeling fresh instead of like a blur.
Pencil It In
Literally. Grab a planner, open up Google Calendar, or plaster sticky notes on the wall. Seeing your year mapped out makes it easier to stay realistic about time off and budget.
đĄ Pro tip: The earlier you plan, the better the flight options, hotel choices, and budget-friendly payment plans youâll have at your fingertips.
The Bottom Line
Mapping out your year doesnât have to be overwhelmingâitâs actually the key to traveling smarter, not harder. And if you start sketching out your 2026 plans now, youâll snag the best availability before it disappears.
My Confession
I used to think planning travel too far in advance would take the fun out of itâbut honestly, itâs the exact opposite. Mapping things out ahead means you get the fun parts (dreaming, anticipating, and traveling) without the panic of scrambling for dates, prices, or availability later.
Remember: good trips donât plan themselves. Thatâs why you have me. âDeena

Every fall, right after the kids head back to school, my inbox fills up with:
đ âFind me a cheap deal over Christmas for my family of four.â
đ âDo you have any last-minute spring break options?â
Hereâs the truth: by September, itâs already late in the game for Christmas and spring break. Resorts are filling fast, flights are limited, and whatâs left usually isnât the âdeal of the century.â
A few realities families need to know:
Kids count as adults sooner than you think. At many resorts, once your child hits 9â11 years old, theyâre priced as adults. So that âfamily of fourâ is often billed like four adults.
Beds matter. If you need two beds (instead of one king), options shrink. Add in four people per room, and suddenly only certain categories even work. Want two rooms? Expect a MUCH higher price tag for that option.
Late booking = fewer choices. By September, the more affordable categories and family-friendly setups are usually long gone.
So, when should you book?
For peak travel times (Christmas, spring break, summer holidays), the sweet spot is 9â10 months in advance. Thatâs when youâll still find decent flights, rooms that actually fit your family, and prices that arenât climbing every week.
And if youâre thinking of traveling this Christmas? Contact me ASAP!!! Waiting even a few weeks could mean paying way moreâor not finding availability at all.
My Confession
I canât work miracles when it comes to school vacation pricing (believe me, Iâve tried). But I can make sure youâre not paying double for the âgarden view of the parking lot.â Planning early isnât just smartâitâs the only way to win this game.
If youâre traveling over school breaks, the only âlast-minuteâ decision you should be making is whether to order dessert.

âCan you let me know if a deal pops up?â
And hereâs the truth⊠I donât. I donât âwatch for deals,â and Iâm not sitting here waiting for the perfect one to land on my desk so I can send it to you. That might sound blunt and surprising, but let me explain why.
Who I Am:
Customized. I build vacations around youâyour dates, your style, your budget, your wish list.
đ What that means for you: Your trip is never a cookie-cutter package or a ârandom deal.â Itâs designed specifically to fit what you actually want.
Strategic. I donât chase salesâI source value. That means knowing which promotions are worth it and which âdealsâ come with fine print that will make you miserable.
đ What that means for you: You save more than just moneyâyou save your time, your energy, and your sanity.
Client-Focused. I work exclusively with clients whoâve had a consultation with me. That way, I know exactly what youâre looking for, and I can deliver it.
đ What that means for you: Iâm not randomly forwarding offers. Iâm crafting a vacation thatâs a perfect fit for you.
Who Iâm Not:
â A Deal Hunter. I donât sit at my desk refreshing websites, waiting for something shiny to appear.
đ What that means for you: Iâm not going to send you every âsaleâ that comes along, because most of them donât match your needs anyway.
â Generic. I donât do one-size-fits-all travel.
đ What that means for you: I wonât waste your time with packages that donât fit your family, your dates, or your travel style.
â A Coupon Clipper. Travel isnât about chasing discountsâitâs about creating experiences.
đ What that means for you: Your vacation wonât depend on luck or timing. It will be carefully built to match your priorities.
Why That Works for You
â You know your trip isnât just a âdealââitâs your dream vacation.
â You donât waste energy chasing offers that donât apply to you.
â You get a plan that actually works with your schedule, budget, and vision.
â You can relax, knowing Iâve already filtered out the noise.
My Confession
I used to âwatch for deals.â Iâd keep an eye on promotions and sales, thinking one might magically line up with a clientâs needs. But over time I learned that it just doesnât work. The dates are off, the room categories donât fit, or the fine print makes it a bad experience.
Thatâs why I no longer chase dealsâbecause deals donât build dream vacations, people do. And when I know exactly what youâre looking for, I can create something so much better than a random sale.
So if youâve been waiting for me to DM you with âthe perfect deal,â I wonât. What I will do is build you a trip thatâs designed from the start to be everything you wantâand nothing you donât.
