❌ The Problem with Booking Blind

Let me tell you about that “too-good-to-be-true last-minute deal” you saw online. (Oh yes, I’ve been there. I’ve also muttered the words “what’s the worst that could happen?” Spoiler: the worst definitely happens.)

It always starts at the airport. Your flight is delayed, and you’re calling the 1-800 number printed in size 2 font on your confirmation email. Ring, ring, ring. Forty minutes later, you know every note of their hold music and still
 no human.

When you finally arrive, the hotel greets you with a “free upgrade.” Sounds fancy, right? Except your balcony view is of
the dumpster. (Nothing says romance like watching yesterday’s leftovers being wheeled out.)

Then there’s the “all-inclusive” that forgot food exists between 2–6 p.m. Apparently, in this magical land, nobody gets hungry in the afternoon. (Hope you like potato chips from the gift shop for $14.99 a bag.)

And here’s the kicker—you didn’t actually save money. You just prepaid for a stress headache with a palm tree screensaver in the background.

What Happens When I Plan Your Trip

Now, here’s how it looks when I’m in charge:

You tell me what kind of traveler you are. (Do you want lazy mornings with coffee by the pool? Or are you the “let’s climb that volcano at sunrise” type? Either way, I’ve got you.)

Here’s the thing: when I plan your trip, you don’t just get flights and a hotel slapped together. You get me — your behind-the-scenes travel fixer.

Flights delayed? I’m already stalking the airline app before you’ve even found a charging outlet. (Yes, I’m that person.)

Hotel mix-up? I’m on the phone with the front desk smoothing things out while you sip your welcome cocktail.

Need a restaurant where the locals actually eat instead of the one with the laminated tourist menu? I’ve got the name, the reservation, and probably even the best dish to order.

Basically, you get to play the main character in your vacation story while I quietly handle the boring plot twists in the background.

The Right Trip Feels Different

The right trip is the one where you come home saying things like:

“This was exactly what I needed.”
“I didn’t have to lift a finger and it was perfect.”
“Why didn’t I do this sooner?”

Because when the logistics are handled, and every detail actually lines up with what you wanted—that’s when a vacation turns into a memory you want to relive (instead of one you need to recover from).

My Confession

I don’t just “book travel.” I take the dumpster views, the snack-free afternoons, and the roulette wheel of “cheap deals” right off the table. I make sure you get the kind of trip that feels good while you’re on it and when you look back on it later.

So if you’re ready to ditch the gamble and upgrade to the good stuff:

Step 1:  Come hang out with me in my in my private travel group. Private Travel Group

Step 2:  Book a Consultation with me Because the only gamble you should be taking on vacation is whether to order one margarita or two.): Complimentary Consultation

✹ Remember: good trips don’t plan themselves. That’s why you have me. —Deena

“You’re a travel agent? So
 you book trips?”

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard that one. (Usually right after someone finds out what I do, and you can literally see them imagining me sitting at my laptop, clicking “book now” while sipping coffee in my pajamas or laying in a hammock.)

Yes
 and no.

Booking is technically part of it. But honestly? That’s the tiniest slice of the pie. What people usually see is the polished final product: a shiny itinerary, a couple of confirmation emails, and maybe a pretty destination photo to get you excited.

What they don’t see is me behind the scenes, piecing together the puzzle — making sure the connections make sense, the hotels actually match the photos, and that there’s a Plan B (and C) ready in case life decides to be
 life.

What People Think I Do:

Google some flights.
Pick a hotel.
Click “book.”
Send an email: “Have a great trip!”

What I Actually Do:

I get to know you. Not just where you want to go, but how you want to feel on that trip. (Do you want to come home rested, adventurous, spoiled, or all three?)

I research beyond Google, digging into trusted suppliers, partners, and experience-backed insight you won’t find on page 1 of Expedia.

I cross-check flights, schedules, time zones, transfers, resort reviews, cancellation policies, and insurance — all the stuff you’d never notice until it’s too late.

I troubleshoot when flights shift, rooms disappear, or that “5-star deal” is actually a 2-star nightmare with good lighting.

I build itineraries that balance just the right amount of structure and freedom (translation: you’ll know where you’re going, but you’ll also have time to wander into the gelato shop with the 30-minute line
 trust me, it’s worth it).

And when things do go sideways? I advocate for you so you don’t have to spend your vacation arguing with a customer service rep who’s never heard of your hotel.

All of this, and you only have one point of contact: me. Not 12 different booking engines, not four hold lines, not a chatbot pretending it understands your problem. Just me. 😉

Why It All Matters

Here’s the truth: anyone can book a vacation. But not everyone can build one that actually feels like you.  Your time is valuable. Your vacation should never feel like work.

When I plan your travel, you get:

  • A trip tailored to your pace, preferences, and priorities.

  • The peace of mind that comes from knowing someone’s got your back.

  • The hidden gems, perks, and details that make the whole thing feel effortless.

Ready to Experience the Difference?

When I take care of the details, you get a trip that fits your pace, your preferences, and your priorities — plus the peace of mind that someone’s got your back when life throws curveballs. That’s what makes it effortless.

My Confession

Yes, I “book trips.” But mostly? I make sure your vacation doesn’t suck.

“I want to travel
but I don’t want to do it alone.”

You’re not the only one. And you don’t have to be.

If I had a dollar for every time someone said this to me, I’d probably have enough for a first-class ticket somewhere fabulous.

The truth is, a lot of people want to travel — but they don’t always have someone to go with. And that doesn’t necessarily mean they’re single. Maybe their partner can’t take time off, their best friend is saving for a house, or their family’s idea of “vacation” is two weeks at the same cabin every summer.

So, what happens? The trip idea gets shelved. The dream gets pushed off until “someday.” And in the meantime, those travelers are left craving connection with people who actually get their love of travel.

That’s exactly why I started the Solo Traveller’s Club.

It’s not just about going places. It’s about connecting with other people who love travel — whether you’re trip-ready right now or just starting to dream.

Who This Club Is For

It’s for you if:

  • You love the idea of travel, but don’t always have a buddy.

  • You want to connect with other travel lovers, even if you’re not ready to book.

  • You’re curious about solo travel — but like the thought of a community to lean on.

  • You want a no-drama, like-minded crew to talk travel with.

What This Club Is Not

It’s not a high-pressure commitment. Show up when it works for you.
It’s not just for seasoned solo travelers — beginners and dreamers are welcome.
It’s not about being alone. It’s about having options and connections.
And it’s definitely not a sales pitch. Just real people, real conversations, and future adventures waiting to happen.

What It Is

It’s a supportive community.
It’s a safe space to ask, plan, connect, and dream.
It’s a chance to explore “solo”
 but never feel alone.
It’s a no-pressure way to finally say “yes” — even if that starts with just chatting about travel over coffee.

Whether your passport is ready to go or you’re simply collecting “someday” ideas, this is your crew.

My Confession

I didn’t start this club because I travel alone — I actually never have!
I started it because I kept hearing the same thing over and over: “I want to travel, but I don’t have anyone to go with.”

And sometimes, what people really want isn’t even a trip yet. It’s just a connection with other people who understand the pull of travel — who get excited dreaming about “someday” right alongside them.

“But I found it cheaper online
”

And that’s amazing — until it’s not.

It’s amazing until your “quick connection” turns into a full-on airport obstacle course, where you’re sprinting between terminals like you’re auditioning for The Amazing Race.

It’s amazing until your “room with a view” turns out to be overlooking dumpsters and the morning delivery truck. (Yes, I’ve been there. Once was enough.)

It’s amazing until you realize the booking support ended the moment your credit card cleared. Suddenly, you’re on your own with a 1-800 number and 45 minutes of hold music.

The Illusion of “Deals”

Those booking sites love to dangle shiny low prices in front of you. What they don’t put on the front page?

  • The 10-hour layovers that eat your whole vacation.

  • The “non-refundable” fine print that traps you.

  • The “all-inclusive” that somehow doesn’t include snacks, drinks, or common sense.

That so-called “deal” usually comes with hidden costs: stress, wasted time, and money spent fixing what should’ve been right the first time.

What Value Really Looks Like

Value isn’t the cheapest trip. Value is the right trip. The one where the connections make sense, the hotel actually looks like the photos, and you’re supported every step of the way.

When you work with me, you get:

  • Smart planning (a.k.a. no “surprise” 3 a.m. layovers).

  • Reliable options that fit your travel style.

  • Real support when life throws a curveball.

  • Honest advice that keeps you out of rookie-mistake territory.

Why It Matters

The most expensive trip isn’t the one with the biggest price tag.
It’s the one you didn’t actually enjoy.

My focus? To make sure your trip feels like you — seamless, stress-free, and full of the kind of memories you’ll want to relive.

My Confession

I’ve seen plenty of “cheap” trips cost more in the end — in money, sanity, and missed experiences. I’d rather build you a trip that actually delivers.

Only 16 spots total - 6 are taken!

Which spot is yours?

So here’s the scoop: in April 2026, Warren and I are heading to Ireland — and this time, we’re doing something different. Instead of piecing everything together ourselves (flights, trains, hotels, transfers
you know me đŸ™‹đŸ»â€â™€ïž), we’re joining a G Adventures Highlights of Ireland guided tour.

Yep — our very first guided tour. And you’re invited to come along.

The Best Part? Space is Limited.

This isn’t some massive coach with 50 people you’ll never talk to again. It’s capped at just 16 travelers total.

Right now, 6 spots are already filled. Once we reach 8 travellers (just 2 more!), the trip is guaranteed to run as a private group with just us. That could be just the 8 of us (super intimate) but of course we want to grow it to the full 16. Either way, this is a small-group adventure that already has a mix of solo travelers and couples committed — which means it’s truly for everyone.

Why a Guided Tour This Time?

Normally, I’m the one behind the curtain pulling all the strings — connecting flights, customizing day trips, juggling transfers. But this time, G Adventures is handling the day-to-day logistics, so I get to actually experience it with you.

That means:

  • Someone else is driving while we enjoy the views.

  • Expert guides share the stories, legends, and history behind every stop.

  • A group dynamic that’s friendly, supportive, and fun.

Pre & Post: Build Your Own Adventure

Here’s the part I really love: Ireland doesn’t have to be the whole trip. It can be the centerpiece of something bigger. You are travelling a long way so why wouldn't you want to stay longer and experience more?

Want to arrive early?

  • Spend a few nights in London (Stonehenge day trip, anyone?).

  • Pop up to Scotland for castles, bagpipes, and maybe a Loch Ness sighting.

Want to extend your trip after Ireland?

  • Add on a few nights in Paris for croissants and Eiffel Tower views.

  • Train your way to Amsterdam and soak up canals and cafĂ© culture.

  • Or take a slower route, with stops in Spain or Portugal before heading home.

I’ll help you plan all of it — flights, transfers, hotels, day tours — so your trip flows smoothly from start to finish. Whether you want a little add-on or a whole Euro-adventure, I’ve got your back.

🍀 Just Some of the Reasons to Join Us in Ireland 2026

  • đŸ» Built-in pub buddies — Warren and I are not shy about pulling you into a local pub for “just one pint” (which will obviously turn into two).

  • 😂 Group laughter guaranteed — if you’ve ever traveled with us, you know there will be stories, jokes, and at least one moment we’ll still be laughing about years later.

  • 🧭 Professional wanderers (Exploring With Dora) — One of our friends nicknamed Warren “Dora the Explorer” because he cannot resist a side path, a hidden alley, or a “shortcut” (spoiler: it’s usually not). But those detours? They’ve led us to some of our favorite travel memories — and if you join us, you’ll get those stories too.

  • đŸ„‚ We celebrate everything — birthdays, anniversaries, Tuesday
whatever. We’ll find a reason to toast.

  • đŸŽ¶ Possible karaoke (but Irish pub edition) — we can’t promise vocal talent, but we can promise enthusiasm if there’s live music.

  • 📾 Memory makers — I love snapping silly photos, group selfies, and capturing little moments. (Translation: you’ll go home with way more than just scenery pics.)

  • đŸ„Ÿ Balance of adventure + chill — whether you’re up for hikes, history, or just sipping coffee with a view, you’ll have the space to do your thing — but with us cheering you on.

  • đŸ€ No one gets left out — solo traveller, couple, or “just me and my curiosity,” you’ll be part of the crew from day one.

My Confession

I could have kept this as “just another trip” for myself and Warren. But travel is always better when it’s shared. That’s why I wanted to open this up to you — not only to experience Ireland together, but to give you the chance to make this the trip of a lifetime.

So whether Ireland is your dream destination or the heart of a bigger adventure, let’s make it happen! What spot are you going to take up?

I know I have a strong personality. I’ve been told more than once that I’m “a lot.” And you know what? They’re right.

Here’s the thing—being “a lot” has gotten me jobs, and it’s also cost me jobs. It’s opened some doors and slammed a few others shut. And I’m perfectly fine with that, because it’s exactly what makes me, well
 me.

Who I Am

đŸ’« Honest. I’ll tell you straight up if those jeans don’t fit right—and I’ll also tell you if the “boutique” hotel you found online is basically just a fancy name for a motel with free Wi-Fi.

đŸ’« Truthful. I’ll give you the real answer, even when it’s not the easy one. If you ask me if I like your new boyfriend, you’d better want the real answer.
What that means for you: You’ll never end up wasting money on something that looked good online but doesn’t deliver in real life.

đŸ’« Protective. I care deeply about the people in my life—and if you’re my client, that means I’ll stand up for you and tell you the honest truth, always.
What that means for you: You’ll have someone in your corner who advocates for you, protects your best interests, and makes sure you get the trip you deserve.

đŸ’« Social. I love people, I talk a lot, and I genuinely enjoy connecting with my clients.
What that means for you: Planning your trip will feel more like chatting with a trusted friend than dealing with a faceless booking engine.

Who I’m Not

❌ The fake cheerleader. I’ll be your biggest fan when it matters—but I’ll also be realistic when it’s needed.
What that means for you: I won’t push you toward a destination or resort that doesn’t actually fit your style, just because it’s “popular.”

❌ A filterer. I don’t filter my photos—or my opinions.
What that means for you: What you see is what you get. If it’s not good value, I’ll say so.

❌ Everyone’s favorite. I know I’m not for everyone (and I own that).
What that means for you: If you want a straight shooter with a big heart, you’ll feel right at home working with me.

Why That Works for You

✔ You always know exactly where you stand.
✔ You don’t waste time second-guessing if my advice is genuine.
✔ You’ve got someone in your corner who will go to bat for you.
✔ You’ll feel cared for, supported, and understood.

My Confession

I’ve never tried to be for everyone—and honestly, I don’t want to be.  But if you’re looking for a travel advisor who is bold, honest, caring, social, and fully invested in your trip? Then I might just be the right one for you.

How to Map Out Your 2026 Travel Year (Without Overwhelm)

Planning a full year of travel in one shot might sound like the fast track to overwhelm. But here’s the thing—it’s actually the opposite. When you zoom out and look at the year as a whole, you can spot the best windows for adventure, relaxation, and everything in between
 without double-booking yourself into chaos.

Let’s break it down:

Start with the Anchors

School breaks, big work projects, weddings, anniversaries, family reunions—whatever’s non-negotiable in your world. These dates set the framework so you’re not planning Italy during exam week or a ski trip during your cousin’s wedding.

Layer in the Seasons

Every destination has a “best time.” Skiing? Think January–March. Japan’s cherry blossoms? Late March–April. Italy without the shoulder-to-shoulder crowds? May or September. Match your dream spots with their sweet spots.

Priorities First

Is 2026 the year of that once-in-a-lifetime bucket-list trip? Or do you want a handful of shorter escapes sprinkled throughout? Build your calendar around what matters most—whether that’s family time, foodie adventures, or lazy pool days.

Keep It Balanced

Variety is the secret sauce:

  • A tropical beach escape in winter

  • A cultural city break in spring

  • An active adventure in summer

  • A cozy wellness retreat in fall

It keeps your year feeling fresh instead of like a blur.

Pencil It In

Literally. Grab a planner, open up Google Calendar, or plaster sticky notes on the wall. Seeing your year mapped out makes it easier to stay realistic about time off and budget.

💡 Pro tip: The earlier you plan, the better the flight options, hotel choices, and budget-friendly payment plans you’ll have at your fingertips.

The Bottom Line

Mapping out your year doesn’t have to be overwhelming—it’s actually the key to traveling smarter, not harder. And if you start sketching out your 2026 plans now, you’ll snag the best availability before it disappears.

My Confession

I used to think planning travel too far in advance would take the fun out of it—but honestly, it’s the exact opposite. Mapping things out ahead means you get the fun parts (dreaming, anticipating, and traveling) without the panic of scrambling for dates, prices, or availability later.

Remember: good trips don’t plan themselves. That’s why you have me. —Deena

Every fall, right after the kids head back to school, my inbox fills up with:

👉 “Find me a cheap deal over Christmas for my family of four.”
👉 “Do you have any last-minute spring break options?”

Here’s the truth: by September, it’s already late in the game for Christmas and spring break. Resorts are filling fast, flights are limited, and what’s left usually isn’t the “deal of the century.”

A few realities families need to know:

  • Kids count as adults sooner than you think. At many resorts, once your child hits 9–11 years old, they’re priced as adults. So that “family of four” is often billed like four adults.

  • Beds matter. If you need two beds (instead of one king), options shrink. Add in four people per room, and suddenly only certain categories even work.  Want two rooms?  Expect a MUCH higher price tag for that option.

  • Late booking = fewer choices. By September, the more affordable categories and family-friendly setups are usually long gone.

So, when should you book?

For peak travel times (Christmas, spring break, summer holidays), the sweet spot is 9–10 months in advance. That’s when you’ll still find decent flights, rooms that actually fit your family, and prices that aren’t climbing every week.

And if you’re thinking of traveling this Christmas? Contact me ASAP!!! Waiting even a few weeks could mean paying way more—or not finding availability at all.

My Confession

I can’t work miracles when it comes to school vacation pricing (believe me, I’ve tried). But I can make sure you’re not paying double for the “garden view of the parking lot.” Planning early isn’t just smart—it’s the only way to win this game.

If you’re traveling over school breaks, the only “last-minute” decision you should be making is whether to order dessert.

I get this request more than almost anything else:

“Can you let me know if a deal pops up?”

And here’s the truth
I don’t. I don’t “watch for deals,” and I’m not sitting here waiting for the perfect one to land on my desk so I can send it to you. That might sound blunt and surprising, but let me explain why.

Who I Am:

Customized. I build vacations around you—your dates, your style, your budget, your wish list.

👉 What that means for you: Your trip is never a cookie-cutter package or a “random deal.” It’s designed specifically to fit what you actually want.

Strategic. I don’t chase sales—I source value. That means knowing which promotions are worth it and which “deals” come with fine print that will make you miserable.
👉 What that means for you: You save more than just money—you save your time, your energy, and your sanity.

Client-Focused. I work exclusively with clients who’ve had a consultation with me. That way, I know exactly what you’re looking for, and I can deliver it.
👉 What that means for you: I’m not randomly forwarding offers. I’m crafting a vacation that’s a perfect fit for you.

Who I’m Not:

❌ A Deal Hunter. I don’t sit at my desk refreshing websites, waiting for something shiny to appear.
👉 What that means for you: I’m not going to send you every “sale” that comes along, because most of them don’t match your needs anyway.

❌ Generic. I don’t do one-size-fits-all travel.
👉 What that means for you: I won’t waste your time with packages that don’t fit your family, your dates, or your travel style.

❌ A Coupon Clipper. Travel isn’t about chasing discounts—it’s about creating experiences.
👉 What that means for you: Your vacation won’t depend on luck or timing. It will be carefully built to match your priorities.

Why That Works for You

✔ You know your trip isn’t just a “deal”—it’s your dream vacation.
✔ You don’t waste energy chasing offers that don’t apply to you.
✔ You get a plan that actually works with your schedule, budget, and vision.
✔ You can relax, knowing I’ve already filtered out the noise.

My Confession

I used to “watch for deals.” I’d keep an eye on promotions and sales, thinking one might magically line up with a client’s needs. But over time I learned that it just doesn’t work. The dates are off, the room categories don’t fit, or the fine print makes it a bad experience.

That’s why I no longer chase deals—because deals don’t build dream vacations, people do. And when I know exactly what you’re looking for, I can create something so much better than a random sale.

So if you’ve been waiting for me to DM you with “the perfect deal,” I won’t. What I will do is build you a trip that’s designed from the start to be everything you want—and nothing you don’t.
